Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Congrats on the new car. As far as turbobacks go, i have the turboxs stealthback with high flow cat, mated to a prodrive axleback, and i love it. I haven't had to have it checked by emmisions, but from what i hear, as long as you have the high flow cat, it'll pass the sniffer and the visual check too.

MRT has a turboback with high flow cat. i dont really like the look of the exhaust tip, i would go with the TurboXS turboback or what DizzyWRX said and get the TurboXS stealthback and get a Prodrive rear section.

Cobb also makes a downpipe with a high flow cat but from what I was told by Cobb you need to heat it up pretty good before the test so it will pass. Here in missouri it will pass visual check with 1 cat but I dont know what it is like in your state. If you are concerned about passing the visual ask the people that will be checking it if it will pass visual with 1 cat. If you plan on keeping stock turbo most people here suggest a bellmouth downpipe and a divorce wastegate if you plan on a bigger turbo. Another thing to look at is a Cobb Accessport and an upipe first http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/accessport.html I dont know which would be better but you will gain 25 whp with Accessport (stage 1 of 2 with stage 3 on the way soon) and helix claims 15 hp gain with their upipe. I think you usually get around 40 hp with turbo back but you dont have to worry about emissions with Accessport and upipe (upipe cat is only for cold start). Turbo back costs from $800 helix to $1200 or even more, Accessport and Helix upipe is around $750.

Oh forgot to tell you congrats on your new car I like the WRC blue color, now make sure to cheer on Petter to win a second title.

yea too bad i dont kow who the truck company was...that tire could have been sitting there for hours for all anyone knows...but, i am calling PennDOT (pA department of transportation) and im gonna make a huge complaint...the officer that assisted e yesterday told me they may be able to reimburse me for any money i have to shell out. SO far my deductible is 1000 bux (i never changed it from ym civic..and now im regretting it) so ill probably have to pay that then my insurance is covering everything else...i hope. Im going back to my dealer (4 days after buying the car) and asking them to quote me on repairs...ill keep you guys posted
