Aftermarket downpipe too long?

I recently bought a down pipe which was listed for a 02-07 wrx. So I bought it thinking it would be a perfect fit but turns out it's too long. Can someone tell me why it too long or any other info. I've tried looking it up but found nothing.

Its JDM length. The down/mid pipes are different lengths.

So basically you cant just put on that DP without the matching mid. I have a full JDM turbo back exhaust and it was an "all or nothing".

Thanks for the info! Guess I'll have to search him up on Craigslist again and try to get the rest of the exhaust.
