Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

After these mods, what should be next?

After these mods, what should be next?

I am just wondering, after these little bolt on mods, which one should a person be looking into getting for some more power gains with less money? Mods like turboback, headers, injectors, ecu tuning and intercoolers with hoses where do you go next? something inexpensive like thse mods mentioned? i know a turbo is a pretty big upgrade, but what is there left to do?

btw i dont have these mods personally, but this question is like a general guide. thanks for the help.

and i ask because i see a lot of questions about exhaust systems, i just want to see what else is popular.

improve efficiency... get cool air in and hot exhaust out of the engine and things will come together.

port and polish everything. buy the tools and it's all free after that. compressor housing, ic elbows, throttle body, tgv butterfly removal, stock exh. manifold, td04 exhaust housing, etc.

i've done about 1/3 of that stuff and i am already getting 4.3v on the maf sensor, which means i am hitting my head on the stock fuel pressure/injectors. ~300 chp.

i live in washington and every person i talk to that has an STi says they had to put new tires on as soon as they got the car becasue the tire were so crappy but other than that im pretty new to the WRX thing but i do a lot of searching and get some answers for myself and this is the opinion i have come up with(there for it might not be wrong period or just right for me sooo)if u dont really have a lot of money u might as well get the suspension stuff first and have a great handling car and just free up the exhaust and u have a great start...all those guys who dont like the cai or the bov will atest to that...thats about the extent of my knowledge.
