aem or aps intake?

i know that intakes usually mess things up with a wrx. however, i have an aem cai and aps cai that aren't being used and both have the same diameter as stock where the MAF sensor is.

should i install the aem cai?
or
should i install the aps cai?

i've heard that these intakes do not mess up my MAF readings.
Is this true?

[BillNye]from what I understand, its not just the diameter at the MAF sensor, but the bends in the pipe that make the air flow differently and creat turbulant airflow. With turbulant airflow, more air could be flowing around the MAF sensor rather than over it, causing it to read less air than there actually is. The opposite could also happen, with more air hitting the sensor, it will think theres more air than there actually is. In theory, if the air flowed smoothly througout the entire pipe, then the diameter pipe you have would be good.[/BillNye]
