Accessport Stg II w/ top mount?
Accessport Stg II w/ top mount?
Looking to get a new top mount w/ bov in addition to my TBE. will the top mount allow for stage II? I wouldn't want things to get funky. thanks
well the guy who's selling the bov is just including it. so it's basically free. should i not worry about installing it, and just stick with the stock?
also with the intercooler, will i notice gains? or would it be more in terms of efficiency? (basically, should i buy, or not?)

stick w/the stock and sell the bov to offset some of what you paid for the top mount.
as far as noticable gains. that's gonna depend on how tuned your butt dyno is.

He means it won't be a huge, noticable gain unless you are very aware of small gains yourself, if that makes any sense. The TMIC will not give you large gains in hp, instead it will mainly give you the ability to run a larger turbo setup in the future. It'll add a few extra horse right now, but you'll only feel it if your "butt dyno" (meaning you) is very aware of small changes. Again, stick with the stock BOV. I don't know how I can stress the importance of this. The stock BOV is good for upto 20psi, or thereabout. By the time you're up that high, you'll lead the risk of blowing engine internals anyways. IF you do decide to run with an aftermarket BOV, %100 recirculatory is the best, as it will act like your stock BOV, but you will not hear the woosh. If you get a 50/50 or 100 percent atmospheric BOV, have it tuned right away, or your car will run like crap (ie idle poorly, run slower, etc.). And when you get the Cobb Accessport, they only have certain maps to reflash your ECU with, so if you want the optimum performance, and your car to run the best that it can (perhaps even better than when it came from the dealer), take it down to have it custom tuned to your setting, on top of reflashing with your Accessport. I myself will have mine custom tuned by Ed at EQ Tuning in the future, but there are plenty of other people that can custom tune, too.

^^very well put^^
if you're really set on a bov look into the worx one. www.worxtuning.com they came out w/a new version which i haven't seen to many reviews on but looks promising. i have the older 1.2v polished worx bov and it's very very nice. but, it's currently sittin in a box. i did a lil research on it when i first got my car and liked its quick adjustability and really wanted that, "pppssshh" sound. i've since grown out of it and have read enough post to know that aftermarket bov aren't needed for what i have planned for my car....

i'm really not into the bov, i was previously thinking about selling it once i got it. i've done my homework. but now you're saying to get it custom tuned, and then reflash it to stg II. i'm in the chicago area, could i do a google search on tuning garages? how much would this tune cost? thanks

you won't necessarily need a tune by adding just a tmic. if you think you're done moddin and to reap the full benefits of the intercooler then yes get a custom tune. since you already have the AP look for a shop who has cobbs protuner software. iirc you have bunch of tuners in your area. tune costs will depend on the shop.

Call P& L. They can tune that sucker for you.
i hope you're not referring to the bov. i plan on selling it right away. as far as the tune, i think worst case scenario being $600 it's not worth (at least right now) getting my car tuned. as good as the deal is, i might just buy it and wait to tune it later to squeek out some extra beef. but until then you all are saying that she'll run fine at stg II correct?
