5 whp, 8 tq, faster spool - Simply with a Gruppe-S T-body!

Hey guys,

We finally got around to testing our match ported throttle body for the WRX on our shop car. We were pleasantly surprised by the results!!

What we did:
*WRX T-body - ported including matched throttle plate
*WRX Manifold - Match ported

What we gained:
*Gained 5WHP, 8TQ
*Gained 200rpm FASTER turbo spoolup

Setup:
The setup on our shop car is currently
*2.3 Stroker motor
*Stand alone engine management (Tec 3)
*91 octane gas + alki injection
*GT35R .82 Turbo

The good news is these T-bodies are available now for sale at a very economical price. Basically very good bang for the buck performance gains.

Thanks,

Gary
Gruppe-S

(BTW stay tuned for manifold and STI T-body testing!)

Looks like it made a big difference between 3400-4200, I'll bet that improved throttle response quite a bit too. Just out of curiosity, what are you charging for one of these? and what all does it come with?

Dont think you the result may be different on a stock (er) wrx then mikes car? You want to do some testing with a stock 2.0l and a vf34

Intro pricing for the throttle body and intake manifold port matched to the t-body is $349 (we need your T-body and manifold back though). If one of you VF34 cars wants to get it I will get you one and install it for you for that price. Also included would be a dyno baseline and after mod baseline.

It would be great to see the results on a totally stock car and your typical VF34 setup car. Great results anyways.

I would be up for testing that as well Alex, wonder if we can bribe someone with a stock car to get this as there first mod.

You should have seen the gains on the runs the sales guys didn't get too see (I was way impressed with the Alky kit!!!)

I would imagine so, not like I did any additional tuning on the above. We just slapped it on and did a pull (we even slapped it on on the dyno)

There is more improvements to be had with tuning I am sure how much I can't say as I only had time for a few runs then had to rip the whole thing off to test a new manifold.

200 would be nice. Is this a new gruppe-s style manifold? What's the difference between the new and old?
