Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Uppipe, downpipe, boost controller, intercooler hoses, and some form of engine managment. That'll get you there.

more like full 3in turbo back exhaust in addition to up pipe, IC hoses, and engine management.
you need a bigger turbo. most HP that i have seen from stock turbo is about 240.
if u go bigger turbo then u need bigger injectors, fuel pump, and IC.

lots of tuning too

good luck

TurboXS has already gotten 263HP form the stock turbo with no nitrous!

The mods were as follows:
Utec
TXS v2. TMIC
completely catless TXS exhaust
Vishnu upipe
Vishnu pulley
C16 gas

Can it be done sure. But it's all about engine managment.

I've got C16 nearby my home, do you?

Eitherway, the point that I was trying to make is that you dont need a new turbo, nitrous, etc. Simple bolts-ons and good engine managment will get you to 250WHP.

I'm done with this thread.

cool, i will chime in here.

just my two cents, so take it for what it's worth: full exhaust, uppipe, some type of engine management, bigger IC. like stated above, with good gas and tuning you could get to 250 whp
without swopping out the turbo.

you can swop out the turbo w/o having to change out injectors/fuel pump, but you will be limited at how much hp you can make. anyway, hope this helped

Well I've got a friend who's shooting for the record in the 1/4 on stock turbo (going for 12.8 flat or better) and he should have well above 250whp on pump in order to pull that off. But then again he's got Ti exhaust, full catless, Link SA ECU, wlbro fuel pump, APS intake, Underdrive pulley, lightened flywheel, ACT clutch, diff locks, full bushing kit, STI mounts, short throw, and a whole bunch more crap I can't remember but he's trying to do it below 14psi also on the stocker...he's got this nice HKS turbo screaming for him in his room but it's not going on until he proves everybody wrong But then again we don't all want to do that because it's not practical for everyday driving. Just trying to prove it can be done..how easily is another thing....yeah injectors and turbo are a must for anything above that for us reasonable guys!
