04 WRX 7500 miles tune-up?

Subaru jut called me up the other day, and told my that I need to get my 7500 miles tune-up for 2004 WRX. Does anyone have any Idea what needs to be replace or adjust or whatever needs to be done for the 7500 miles?

Another question is, when is the next tune-up after 7500 miles?

Thanks
Leo

I say take a look in your owner's manual, should have a list of what is done at each interval. 7500 is not a major check-up, for sure they change the oil but I don't have my manual in front of me right now so I couldn't tell ya the rest.

your dealer called you to try and milk you for money. check your owners manual for what really needs to be done and when.

No "tune-up" is needed at 7500 or for that matter any time soon. There is nothing to adjust on these motors and the plugs don't require changing until 60K.
As said check your manual for the recommended service intervals and follow that. At 7500 all that should be recommended is an oil change and a few inspections.

I have never heard of a 7500 mile check up. The first check up is 15000 miles. Dont listen to the dealership. Every dealership that I've talked with here say the first is 15000.

i've been putting mine off. they wanted to schedule it at my last oil change, but i didn't have time. they said it's just a thorough visual inspection, wheels rotation, etc.

I'm sure you could do your own engine oil change and tire rotation.

its just an oil change and tire rotation

they also check fluids and stuff like that

its probably best to take it in so if any warranty stuff comes up you have proof of all maintenence done. but thats just my 2c

I wouldn't pay the dealership for the 7500 check up. but then I do all of my own work for the car.

but it is very important that you rotate your tires every 5-7.5k. pick an interval and just do it. if not your diff will fail later. think about it, it's AWD and I'm pretty sure it's 50/50.

Has anyone done a 7500 mile check up? If so, what did they charge you?
