i have searched up and down.. left and right for the resistor mod that you do in order to get the CEL to go away when putting in a catless downpipe.. anyways when i first bought my wrx i was on all sorts of forums and the resistor mod came up many times.. and i have seen many great write-ups on it.. but now that it is actually comming in handy.. the write ups are no where to be found.. anyways if someone could help me by giving me the site i would greatly appreciate it!!!

i kno but i am going to do this on my own... if i can save 10 bux by doin it myself... then id rather do that.. im not cheap at all.. i have plenty of money.. its just i like to save whut i have..

2.2k Ohms resistor from radio shack should work fine, but id just go with a REAL CEL Fix . . .

 

Here's a recent tutorial on the CEL fix for the catless uppipe. It's worked flawlessly on my car since I did the mod.

Folks, he is asking about a catless downpipe. The 2.2Kohm, 1/2 watt resistor is for the EGT sensor in the uppipe only.

To answer the original question,most people use this: http://ponyexpressperformance.com/wrxmileliminator.html I don't know what the resistor size is in the wiring.

 

If you're getting an ECUtek reflash along with your new downpipe/exhaust, the software will allow your tuner to block this particular CEL.
