Wideband O2 sensor?

I'm going for opensource tuning and a guy suggested that I get a Wideband O2 Sensor. Can anyone explain this? Or where to get one? and how much they cost?

I would go with the innovate LC-1.

The reason you *need* a wideband is that you will not be able to truly tell how lean or rich your AFRs are on your map. When logging with a wideband you'll be able to identify exaclty when you're rich, or if you are running too lean under boost.
