whistling noise in 4th and 5th gear

i am currently running a stage 1 map from the accessport, and i noticed that when im hitting full boost in 4th or 5th gear and get to around 100mph, the boost sound would get 2 times louder. im kinda stumped on determining what this sound exactly is and what it causing it, because i am watching my boost gauge when this happens, and i do not see a drop in pressure. the sound will only happen when i hit full boost in 4th or 5th gear going around 100mph, and it will go away right when i get off the gas, and will only happen again if i give it full throttle and it builds up to 14.7 psi of boost again.

anyone else had this problem before?

im not sure if it is an uppipe leak either, because if i recall correctly, if the uppipe is leaking, it should be a whistling sound right? the sound i have coming out of my car is definately not a whistling sound, it just sounds like the boost getting two times louder

It's tough trying to troubleshoot noises over the internet.

In your post you say that there is "not a whistling sound", but your thread title reads, "whistling noise...".

'Boost' itself does not make a sound. Do you think that what you hear is more likely the rush of intake air or the sound of exhaust becoming louder?

Please list other mods done to your car.

You might check the IC hoses to make sure a leak hasn't developed. It's only a guess as to why the noise doesn't get louder in the lower gears but in 4th and 5th gear, there is much greater load on the engine.

A common uppipe leak occurs when the engine is cold but goes away (for me, at least) after driving for about ten minutes and things heat up. It's really noticeable as a 'shrieking' noise when the engine gets into any sort of boost in any gear.

When did this problem start to happen after you had the accessport, after you put in the k and n filter or what. Just trying to eliminate some things.
