What does a CEL do?
I just put on my catless mid and downpipes. And i've not gotten the CEL yet...but i think i will. My question is...does the CEL actually make the car run different or is it just a light?

If you do the CEL fix you won't have to worry about it either way.

well yes...but i'm driving my car until monday when i ship my ECU away. Between now and then what will happen if i get a CEL. Will it cut my engine off or anything drastic like that?

No not at all....if it comes on and is not flashing you are ok...i know a guy who drove about a month till he got his CEL defender and his car ran fine....

Correct. The engine will run fine even if it thinks there are no cats, as this does not pose any danger to the engine itself.

I have to get my car aligned. NOW...and I have this CEL...will the dealer say something about the catless down and mid pipes pipes? or the CEL??

Can I get my warranty voided?

Yes they will probably void your engine and tranny warranty but long as you haven't done any suspension mods, your suspension warranty will stay intact.... you can always take the mods off before you go to the dealership ...
