I think it is great. Nothing can be better than a stock ECU combined with a professional tuner.

The ecutek tools are great and far more advanced than most of the other solutions on the market. That being said, its not the tool that makes a great tune, its the tuner. What you should really be focussing on is the tuner you choose to tune your car.
