Vishnu sub zero questions

does anyone have a vishnu stage sub zero ecu.... Any problems? How did the new ecu affect your WRX ? Any advice about anything pertaining to the vishnu ecu ? Is vishnu a good choice?

Thanks, Dan

You would be better off with the Prodrive Poer Packs Stage 2. I have it.

i dont have the stage zero but.....

i have an equivalent stage 1 setup from vishnu. uppipe, TBE and reflash.

i drove with the uppipe and tbe for about 3 months before the ecutek. after the ecutek it felt like a completely different car.

as fas as i know, there really are no problems with the vishnu, rally performance, rallispec ecutek reflashes. so long as you get the proper map for your setup.

IF nothing else i would do an uppipe and the stage zero, you will like it more. have fun.

Why is someone better off with a an overpriced, over hyped product? Tell me with facts about why it's better. And DO NOT mention prodrive's ties with subaru. That is the only reason people go with Prodrive, their name.

Can a Subie dealer tell that this has been installed? How easy is it to revert back to stock?

the thing that i like most about the prodrive power pack stage 2 is the 3rd cat eliminating mid pipe. i like the fact that it comes with the heat shield that is shaped similarly to the OEM heat shield. I'm pretty sure that it'll pass the visual inspection.

Vishnu is a great product. So are the prodrive. In my opinion, it comes down to how you can get the best aftermarket support to future modifications. Vishnu products are incredibly well built and are all dyno tested at their shop in Northern California. The way the set-up their stage kits is great. Any time you upgrade, you just pay the difference between the stages. I am running the stage one with the signature series exhaust. It is a huge improvement even on 91 octane. As for the dealers, they are all very savy to the modifications available for the wrx. However, it is still up to the dealer to prove the modification you made caused any damage. Of course, if you up your hp by 80 to 100 over stock, you will have a difficult time arguing any damage to the drive train. If you wanna play you gotta pay!

Smile Stage 0 report

I have a Stage 0 kit w/ the old piggyback chip. It works quite well. I have only had 2 ck engine lights in one yr and it still gets 27 mi/gal on long trips. What's to not like?

My co-worker got it, and loves it. He said it makes the car feel like "the car woke up" said it is better throughout the power band but most noticeable up around the top of the power band where the car felt like it would die off a little before the upgrade, and now it just pulls hard to redline.

If you want to talk to him PM me and I can put you in touch w/ him.
