Both have their different thoughts on what is the best upgrade path...

Neither is any better then the other. If I bought the TurboXS setup, I would make sure to purchase an uppipe at the same time. If I bought the Vishnu setup, I would make sure to get either the Xede in place of the unichip or at least buy the unichip harness so that I dont cut any factory wires.

Mitch, the Unichip has had its last piggyback ride at Vishnu. No longer included with any current Vishnu Stage kits. Every package now includes an EcuTek re-flash (plug'n'play) from Stage Sub-Zero on up.

Ecutek w/o Mods?

I am kinda curious about that myself. Is there any value to he chip if you dont have any other mods?

Also, I live in Florida, it is hot, humid, and 93 octane is as good as it gets. Does that effect the value of the chip which seems to counter the timing retardation done by the factory set up?

Think about it, if my environment is constantly pushing back the timing, will a chip on an unmoded car really help.

or maybe I am just completely misunderstanding the Ecutek.

Is that personal experience with an Ecutek on an unmoded car or what you have read?
