I have an 05 Sti and I want to know if 1.3 would Be just as good as the 2.0? I would like some feed back from ppl using open source and how they like and not like.

1.3s or u is fine just beware of imitations. I actually like it better than the 2.0 cause it's a bit more durable. See if you can locate the 1.3 and 2.0 on this picture.

The 1.3 would have to Be the black one cuhz I kno the 2.0 has that clear shell to it. Would I need anything else when I use the 1.3 besides te software? Like a flasher jumper thing? Lol thanks

 

No since you have a 2005 sti all you need is to connect the green test connectors on the pictures above on the driver side top left of the kick panel( or where your left foot is at, just look down and up). The 2.0 is mainly tailored for the canbus ecu type cars( works on most older subaru models too where the ecu is supported) like the 2008 sti and up and some 2007 subaru models or evo x.

Fasho. now im good. as far as tuning goes, what do you recommend for stage 2 tune? all i have is an intake,catless dp,full 3inch exhaust(blitz Nur spec R) also am i able to disable the cat sensor with the tactrix? cause the cel light is always showing. thanks

 

Yes, you can disable the cel codes pertaining to the catless dp. Your setup is enough to make some good power maybe bigger injectors or a walbro fuel pump if you decide to run race gas or e85 down the line. But if your just learning how to tune by yourself then keep it simple until you get good at it maybe even revert back to stock factory air intake box for simplicity sake.
