STi ECU

I need to make a harness for an STi engine installed in a MY93 Impreza. Not the engine harness, but the bulkhead harnesses that connect the engine harness to the ECU.

My question is this: are the WRX harness connectors compatible with the STi ECU? I will modify the WRX piece to work if the connectors fit. Anybody know?

Thanks in advance.

I am going through a similar situation. My solution will be to use a matched set of connectors, and re-arrange the wires on one side of it to match the existing side. Make sure you use the set (whether the old or new) that has more pin slots. And be very careful with your pin locations. Not only could getting one wrong hurt the electronics, it would take forever to track down the mistake.

Yes I agree with your approach. But my question is will WRX harness connectors fit the STi ECU? Very likely they do, but is that a fact? If this can be verified, then I will purchase a recycled WRX harness and make the new conversion harness.

Comments please. Thanks.
