I'm driving a 04-sti and i just purchased a safc2.
You might try posting your question on the NASIOC Engine Management forum.

The S-AFC II and its predecessor only make broad adjustments compared with dedicated Subaru tuning products like the UTEC and the XEDE. The S-AFC II may also be susceptible to the learning feature of the factory Subaru ECU. The ECU might compensate over time for any changes made by the S-AFC II.

is the utec avalible for the sti yet?
Unfortunately, no. Like all other tuners, TurboXS is working on engine management for the STi.

Vishnu Performance has worked out an XEDE upgrade for the STi but it takes their supplier some time to source the factory-type connectors for plug-and-play operation. I've seen one of the prototype cars on the dyno and others have gone for a ride in the car and say it has a lot more power and torque than the stock STi. Call them for availability if this sounds like something that might interest you.
