protune or street tuner

I have a 06 wrx and I am using the cobb vf39 map, and have the tbe ect. Should I go get a protune or take it to someone that tunes in my area and have him use the street tuner software? Both of the tuners can get the car on the dyno.

I'd get a protune....if a tuner has spent the money to get the protunign stuff, it means they are serious about Subies and should know what they are doing.

do you actually have a VF39 turbo? I would get a protune as well maybe ask Ed at EQ Tuning to do some couch tuning.

yes I have a v39 sorry should have said that in the first place. Im in florida, their is a guy down here (on the other coast, thats the atlantic side im on the gulf coast) he is a protuner. But he just started doing it. He is currently tuning 2 sti's then he will start doing other cars. But about 20 min from me their is another shop who is an AEM certified tuner. I got the street tuner software today and by no means am i gonna try doing it my self. Just wondering what the diffrence is between a protune or a street tune.

street tune=u tune yourself, protune=tune by a tuner and it's a lil more advance than the street tuner, software wise. i hope that helps.
