Prodrive ECU & PPP

Here are the different Prodrive Performance Packages that will be available

PPP WRX STAGE 1 2002 MANUAL

Here are the specs

The test was done on a California spec WRX and was done here in California with 91 Octane gas.

US WRX spec as follows: -

Stock car measured at circa 160 WHP

Stage 1 (circa 180WHP)
intercooler pipe
rear muffler
ECU re-flash

Stage 2 (circa 200WHP)
intercooler pipe
rear muffler
catless centre section
ECU re-flash

Stage 3 (circa 228 WHP)
intercooler pipe
rear muffler
catless centre section
catless up-pipe
sport cat down-pipe
ECU re-flash

Interesting that Prodrive has chosen not to replace the factory up-pipe until their Stage 3. I guess that with a re-flashed ECU in all Stage packages, the cat in the up-pipe should remain intact and not experience excessively high exhaust gas temperatures during part-throttle boost conditions. Vishnu also revised their Stage Sub-Zero upgrade when EcuTek re-mapping became available.

Anyhow, I'm glad to see a Prodrive presence on these shores.

Prodrive power upgrade

Could we see some dyno curves. With clear and prominent labels for the torque and power curves and the scales.

The wrx is based on 160-170 on some dynos.
Those same dynos ,with just an ecutek alone, display ~20whp gain.

I wonder why prodrive is being sooooo conservative with their "power" packages.

New test are being conducted.....There is actually more power than originally posted (above).
