openECU > ap!! |
openECU > ap!!
not really... if u feel like putting urself at huge risk... ok then |
Most Tuners cant due Open ECU now because sumthin about a contract I believe with only tuning with the Cobb AP.
I mean open ECU is badass cuz thats how my tune was, saves buyin the AP, but to go to a real name tuner, most wont tune unless you got a AP. Atleast thats what I heard. Dont know 100% |

i agree completely i know a guy that blew his motor on cobb ap so its not 100% the closest to 100% is a stock car stock ecu |

im not going to lie the learning curve is pretty steep but once you get the hang of it you are good to go. there is alot of help out there and you can post here as always it takes time to learn what you are doing and how to make power take it from teh guy thats running a link  |
how is that possible?
a bad tune... |
a bad tune is a bad tune, doesn't matter what technology you use to make that tune!
|
not really...
if u feel like putting urself at huge risk... ok then
There is the same amount of risk using an open ecu base map(xpt etc.) as a cobb base map. Open ecu doesn't blow motors, stupid people do. Its not a huge risk if A)you know what your doing, B) have someone tune the car that knows what they are doing. Techincaly cobbs street tuning software allows you to do the same thing as open ecu except it costs a whole lot more than open ecu. Btw i've been running open ecu for like 30k miles and my motor hasn't blown up. OP i believe ssautoconcepts tunes open ecu. |
