A noob question
Ive been into the euro scene for a while.
Getting a wrx wagon
.
What is needed to tune it? I don't plan to do much..intake and tbe.
Do i need an accessport of sometype to get it tuned?
Or if i bring it to say EQtuning or GST could they just do it?
Thanks.
Sorry if that was confusing.

Welcome to the site.
There are several engine management solutions such as the Accessport, ECUtek, and others. There are also some open source self tuning systems out there.
Since you're local, I'd recommend dropping by GST and chatting with them before committing to one system or another. They, and most vendors, can sell and install EM, as well as provide dyno tuning services.
Good luck.

id say cobb accessport is AWESOME if you have the money for one. they are 400ish for a v1 and 550+ for a used v2. it is imo by far very good, but if you are on a budget and need something also very effective for next to nothing opensource is a good choice....just make sure you do your research. for these cars engine management options are good.
BTW, the AP v2 is hella sick and i want one. i have a v1. but its all good. i hear ECUtek is better. but then again everyone has their own opinions. but i agree with Egan, go talk to Ed at EQ Tuning or somethin. he's been helpful with me even though i cant afford the tune yet.... but u know that. any way. you better get a rex so we can roll together that wold be sick.
