the ECU can learn the up pipe. It is not necessary to create a new map just for an up pipe.

if you just got it you should be fine, if it came loaded with v1.21 for stage 2 you are ok, that meens it has the my05 updates.

I just updated and ran v1.22 which is the new stage two map they have which gets rid of the stupid stalling, which I already took care of with a grounding kit. It suposidly has a better open/closed look switch over. It feels about the same, idles a little higher. But in second when I punch it from about 3k it seems like it takes just a tad longer to come into power and it feels like a little jerk when it happens. But from first gear it's pretty solid all the way to fifth. the little jerk was the only thing I noticed. Although it is kind of chilly and I spiked slightly at 17lbs, but that's not really a huge worry.

wise decision
If you have a good ecutek tuner near you, that's deffinately the best option.

sure did, I figured that properly grounding the car would make it idle smoother, and guess what It stalled out like a **** all the way up until I grounded the engine. But the new map takes car of that.

well that's good to hear. maybe you should post this in the cobb forum. i'm sure it'll help a ton of people out. especially cobb. they've been tryin to figure out whats causing the stallin issue.

that was my first thought and it worked, the problem is the idle is set too low and it get's choppy, if it's low and not choppy, no stalling. Taking care of a choppy idle is grounding the block better. I didn't know I was the only one smart enough to figure that out, so that's why I didn't even bother posting overthere.

WRX2ndregime - Did you buy an aftermarket grounding kit or did you just use a wire from the block to the chassis? My 2004 2.5RS somethimes shakes the steering wheel slightly at idle, is this the "choppyness" that you are referring to? If so, I would like to look into a good grounding kit (and am open to suggestions on what brand to get). Will this solve my "choppyness" problem?
