Open up your exhaust system, reducing backpressure will help out in that respect, and you could also make some more power too

No surprise there. Tornado Fuel Saver, IMO, is another 'snake oil' gadget.

I'll tell you what probably won't make a significant difference in fuel economy - any engine oil additive such as zMax, Slick 50, Prolong, etc. To quote J. Jonah Jameson from the Spidey movie, "Crap, crap, megacrap..."

Try altering your driving habits. No jackrabbit starts, minimize throttle movement during steady-state cruise conditions, don't upshift/downshift more often than necessary (but don't lug the engine, either). For my normal commute, this equates to about 1 to 1.5 mpg improvement. I still have fun with the car, too.

You're right, when they're compared with many cars in its class. This is one area where Honda's excel. Here's a handy site for comparing vehicles by gas mileage and tailpipe emissions. Of course, we all made our decisions to buy Subaru's based solely on these criteria.

note: Cars like the WRX are listed at this site, but you've got to deduce the model from the specs such as premium gasoline, turbo, 2.0 liter engine, etc.
