Invidia downpipe problem 2003 WRX

I have an invidia downpipe on my 2003 WRX. It is rattling aginst the underbrace on top of the pipe and aginst one of the mounts. Also the upper trans bolt doesn't match up. Any ideas. Thanks.

Send it back. There's too many companies who make perfectly fitting pipes to have to deal with these problems from the aftermarket.

I have the same with an 02 WRX.. We had to cut some minor things to get it from rattling. Now it's fine, but my CEL went on buts I think its just the O2 sensor. Another thing is in the engine,
there is a black hose leading out that is touching the downpipe which gets extremely hot. I'm not sure what the hose is. Its coming from the inside of the car and leads to nothing.

1st gen Invidias had misplaced brackets, 2nd gen leaves 3/8" from tranny mount. ALso- that hose is your AC drain line- if it gets blocked then the moisture being removed from the cabin will collect in a puddle under your carpet. If its touching the uppipe it will melt and smell terrible.

FYI as per Turboxs' directiosn you can move the bracket that holds the AC drain line to another hole which is a little over to the right, this will crimp the hose slightly but not enough to block it, and it will keep the hose from getting melted by the exhaust.
