if i were to get a electronic boost controller with my cobb access port, and get it protuned so that i would be in a higher boost, would that be reliable and would it be a big gain in hp?

 

You don't really need an electronic boost controller if you were to get Protuned. The Cobb AP already controls the boost. Most users only get an EBC when running an external wastegate to control the boost.

Instead of an ebc, look into upgrading your boost silenoid, it will give you quicker spool-up, along with your Pro-Tune. Talk to Ed at EQ Tuning and he can give you more info on this component. Here's his web site...
