dont know which ecu should i use vf23
i bought a ihi vf23 n don't know which ecu should i use!!! i wanna to make 300-350 whp but if i using stock injectors and stage 2 ecu can i still get 280whp?? does it hurt the engine?? well bc i am trying to use less money to keep my wrx run fine but does not have to run very fast.
here is my qustion do i have to have sti injectors, pump, fmic and dyon tuning?? can i just keep what ever i have n install injrctors............. stuff later??? also how many boost should i set for this and with all the good stuff??? if i need to tune, is it a good idea to tune on my turbo sx unichip piggy play?? or need new computer, like utec, cobb, ecutek, ........ which oone is good ??

You won't achieve 280 whp with the VF23. It's too small, but it is a turbo you can probably live with on the street. There's almost always a trade-off between peak power, turbo (boost) lag, and driveability. Are you going racing (at the track, not street racing), or are you just looking for big numbers for bragging rights?
With any of the available VF-series turbos, you'll need tuning. If you can find someone to tune that unichip, that will save you money but it's outdated technology compared to what's available and popular now. You don't need to concern yourself with how much boost to run if you go with a reputable tuner. Boost is only one factor in a tuning session. There is also ignition advance and fuel enrichment for the grade of gasoline at a given rpm under load. These are things a knowledgeable tuner already knows. Dyno tuning is ideal, but tuners such as Cobb may already have an existing map you can use with their AccessPORT device to reflash your own ECU in the car.
For that turbo, you need upgraded injectors and Walbro fuel pump. You can't use this turbo with your existing injectors and ECU. Upgraded intercooler is up to you, either top mount or fmic. There are probably existing threads you can search for about the pros and cons of front-mount vs top-mount.
You didn't fill out your car field in your member Profile so we don't know what model and year car you drive. I'm guessing an '02 - '05 WRX since you have a replacement uppipe...
