Does Cobb Unichip replace stock ECU or suppliment it?

Does Cobb Unichip replace stock ECU or suppliment it?
Is it a full replacement, or does it installl in addition to the stocker?

As far as I know it is not a Unichip. I basically re-maps the stock ECU.
