The UTEC is definately much more of a "fiddle with it" unit. It's great if you're wanting to experiment with tuning, but proabably a bit of a waste of you're not going to play with it.

"I just want smething that i can install and not have to get tuned and not mess with it to get it to work right, just something i can get power out of and the car still run good. thanx for the info."

This comment being made, go with AP. No tuning involved. If you choose to mod later, just load a new map

I'm am also going through the same questions

Heres the thing. The Cobb you can reflash your ECU now for you mods. Accesstuner software will be out in less than a year. You can then tune the maps and reflash and get about $400 off the software if you already have the Accessport

Utec is great and there are lots of people using it to help tune it for you have lots of flexablitly.

Either you spend the $1000 to get the Utec now (and learn to tune yourself/ or have a tuner-shop tune it for you) or spend $600 for the AP (knowing that its tuned correctly) and spend another $400-600 for the software if you want to tune it or have the shops tune at a later date

It not any easy answer......consertative tune with AP less money, more aggressive tune for a little more money. Wait and get the tunersoftware when it comes out and learn to tune the AP. As for as a plug and go system the AP would take the cake. Plug it in, flash the map, done. Utec-plug it in, download a base map, tune the car from then on.

I still haven't answered this questions yet. I think with either one you go with your going to be happy. Just my 0.02 cents

Im almost positive you will only have to pay $400 for the street tuner if you own an accessport. I went with the Accessport and will upgrade to the street tuner when it comes out.
