cobb reflash, anything bad to say?
come on
i hear a lot of compliments to cobb for their tuning, and i think its the route im going to take because the stage2 will give enough power then tis on to more suspension
but, does anyone have anythign bad to say about them? no company is perfect. the only complaint iv'e heard is that weird hose issue, have to have it replaced to hit their correct boost levels. besides that nothing
come on now fess up
thanks a lot

Yeah, I'm pretty ticked off.
They didn't advertise where I could see it and it took me almost three months to hear about them.
I'm thinking of filing a suit for the three months of fun I missed before I got reflashed.
Seriously, I sent them the box on a Tuesday, got it back Thursday.
It actually took about 30 minutes to remove it (They claim 15, I think). It took about 15 minutes to put it back. It's a Stage 1 for 93 octane. Everything else is stock.
They did put on a couple of stickers that I removed so the dealer won't ever see them.
It did everything they claimed. The car is smoother and pulls better in every gear right to red line.
It is absolutely the best bang for the buck you can get.

I actually stopped by their shop in Salt Lake a few months back on my way up here to Anchorage. The guys in there are very knowledgeable and they make sure their parts are top notch before they put them on the market. Don't let the price scare you...they can put it out that cheap because they do all of their R&D in-house. I have the Stage 1 for 91 octane and I have an HKS catbackand drop-in K&N. AWESOME product!! By the way, you only need to use the hose adapter if you aren't hitting max boost levels. Most of the time that would have to do with being way above sea level, so they told me. I would recommend them to anybody.

The 255 HP is actually crank horsepower. The dyno graphs can be seen at their website. Stage 1: http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/images/ae-stage1-dyno.jpg and Stage 2: http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/images/ae-stage2-dyno.jpg . Hope this helps.
but, i could be wrong in this, but it says 225HP to the wheels in that dyno chart, that is more than 255 to the crank
they say stock car is getting 170 to the wheels stock, so i would assume when they say 225, it also means wheels because we all get 227 to the crank stock, which is about 165 170 to the wheels like their dyno says
i would assume stage 2 is around 280 hp but i don't really know about all that mumbo jumbo, just know i should be getting 225 to the wheels opposed to 170

i had a bad experience with cobb. they're just too damn helpful, i hate it.
i'd say that they're top notch. no real complaints here. probably the only thing is the fact that they're taking a bit longer with their accessport and accesstuner, however, this is helping me save a lot of money because i can't put on a bigger turbo with the stage 2 set-up, well, it's not recommended by cobb just as of yet, it's okay though, i can wait. it'll be out sooner or later, and when it does, it's gonna be da shiets.

They posted multiple threads in BAIC about an upcoming dyno day at ATP in Fremont CA. Baseline runs cost $55. Anyone with Cobb AccessECU signed up?
