cobb- economy mode

(i also posted this on nasioc)

I had a 210mi round trip this weekend.

with the help of the cobb HE map, I accomplished it with 1/2 tank of gas.
(from 8 gallons to the "empty light")

It felt like i lost about 80-100hp while in-use. a very n/a feeling ride.

when in the upper rpms, it felt like an adequate street car. but in 5th gear at 60mph..It hardly builds revs. Though I only had a couple of moments that i wished for my power. Of course the difference in acceleration was startling when i reset my ecu back to the 93oct base map.

The site warns that it's not for agressive driving, though with 93oct i had no ping during "hard" acceleration. It was smooth, stock-like feeling, Just Slower.

If you KNOW you're not going to "drive it like you stole it" it's a GREAT way to
save some $$ on long trips. I'll be using it again.

If you try to punch it while on economy mode your car might hit fuel cut or just turn off. (Trust me, i know from experience )

Nothing that can't be taken care of with a quick re-flash of the AP!

Sure! If people can talk on the phone, eat McDonald's, read the paper, scratch their ***, comb their hair, and do their makeup all at the same time, why couldn't I change my program for my AP?

LOL! Seriously, unlike those dim bulbs, I'd have the common sense to pull over first.
