About a week ago I took out my silencer, I hacked off the bottom and plugged it. My car was running fine, until last night. After about 10 minutes of driving my CEL came on. I went to auto zone today and had them read it. The code is p0111, intake air temperature sensor circuit range/performance problem. I have no idea how to fix it or what it even is. Please help! I have an 8 hour drive home coming up!!
Thanks

As you've read in the EJ20 Engine forum, resetting the ECU will likely clear the code so it won't return.
Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery and secure it so that it is out of the way. Step on the brake pedal a few times to purge the electrical system of any stored energy (maybe some juice is retained by capacitors or other circuitry). Re-connect the negative terminal and re-program your radio stations in your radio.

Right, and i was going to do that but the only problem is that it will be cleared, Not fixed. How can i fix it? What does it look like so i can check the connection?

Resetting the ECU really is the fix, or at least it should take care of the indicated problem. My understanding is that the ECU is generating the code because the silencer mod is causing the ECU to sense a condition outside normal parameters when the silencer is in place. Resetting the ECU enables the ECU to adjust to the new conditions. It isn't just a workaround or a cheat to turn off the CEL. If there truly is a problem the CEL will come back. You may have read that the other member took his car to the dealership and after they ran some diagnostics they determined that there was nothing wrong and simply reset the ECU. You can do the same thing but it won't cost you $300 to have the dealership do it for you.
