Car feels Like it Has VTEC
Ok, here goes. I was driving home from work, when I saw a friend driving up behind me. I punched it and so did he, Well, this time I noticed that when I got to about 5500 -- 6000 rpm my car felt like it had VTEC and it kicked in a little more pony's. It never did that before. I goosed it a few more times to make sure I wasn't imagining things and it did it every time. I have a vishnu stage 1 installed, but like I said its never done that before. I checked the boost guage and there was no pressure fluctuation. Anyone have any Ideas???

uh, i'm not a noob, I have a serious problem, my car is kicking in a few more pony's at higher RPMs. I didn't say it has VTEC, I said it feels like it has VTEC. I have not or would not own a honda/acura, but I know what Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control is. Why don't you pay a little more time to attention to detail instead of trying to cut up on someone with a problem. Maybe your parents didn't teach you manners.

I'm sure it's just the new map. Vishnu stage 1s and equivalent are mapped so that it pulls harder all the way to redline, unlike the stock map where the power seems to taper as it nears redline.
I'm sure someone can and will explain it more specifically and a whole lot better.
VTEC > all.

maybe you got bad gas? the ecu ignores the knock sensor over about 5500rpm so it may be doing something wierd with timing up top.
