Question boost settings

I had my profec e 01 for about four months now.....the problem is that when set on automatic mode i cant fully floor every gear without having it feel like its coffing. (maybe its the rev limiter) The boost is only on 8 psi, so im sure its not suppose to do that?
Im really worried that i might be really screwing up the engine, as for now i try to keep at a low rpms... I appreciate all the help!!

when u using the auto mode on the perf e 01, has to run a full throttle at 3 or 4 gear n the boost will slowly go up till the AUTO P blink on the right corner of the screen, then run another full throttle at 3 or 4 gear till the AUTO P stop blinking.... i ve try this on my wrx, but the boost will pass the limeter.. so i just using the manual mode for daily..
