look up the pin diagram here:
http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/m...ng/wrxpin.html

look for the Rear oxygen sensor unit. splice into lines B17 and B19.

PS: Some how the diagram is horizontally flipped....not sure if it's because this is a right-hand car's ECU. You know what i'm saying, right?

Should I tap off the wires right off the O2 sensor or should I try to find some more wires coming from the ECU?
Not sure what the difference it will make to splice at closer distance to the sensor.....IF there is nothing in between the sensor and the ECU pin hole, the voltage should be the same across the entire wired distance.

However I am pretty sure it should not be spliced into the front O2 sensor. If you look at the manual(of the turbo timer), it only interpolates the A/F ratio by looking at a scale of sensor voltage that goes from 0 to 1 volt. The front O2 sensor has dual voltage output(+ve and -ve terminals) and its voltage is 2.8 to 3.2. Although you do have the capability to re-scale the auto timer's interpolation, i doubt the timer can read voltages > 1v

Unhappy same problem here...

I've got the same timer with the same problem. it works fine, just for a preset amount of time (coincidently, I don't really know what an appropriate amount of time is??? the dealer told me that some older turbo subies had a sticker on the back of the visor that said to leave it running for 30 seconds after driving. and somebody else told me to let it go for about a minute, so right now its set at 40 seconds... I also just bought an AVC-r and need the pinouts for that too... I'm gonna go check to see if you're right about the diagram being inverted, but I think it may be totally incorrect, I already printed it off and couldn't figure it out.

one other question about the timer... It doesn't allow me to arm the alarm until it shuts the car off. There is however one more fat white wire (a short one though, about 4 inches) coming out of the vehicle-specific harness I bought. any chance this could splice in somewhere to enable the alarm while the car is running... if not it makes sense, cause the alarm cut out the ignition, right... just like everybody else says, thanks in advance for the assssistance, Ben

The pin diagram is as if you're looking out from inside the ECU. I found this out when carefully matching the colors of wires and patterns of those empty holes. This adds a little difficulty but shouldn't be too hard. You'll just have to find the particular two wires (the signal and the ground).

I found the following instructions useful(i followed another instruction set for my installatoin but this one is the same):
http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/m...ain/tt/tt.html

For the alarm-while-engine-running thing, the last few steps it is:

11) If you have the optional security upgrade from Subaru, you must now modify your car so that your security system will arm while running on the timer.
12) Above the fuse panel, there is a black Keyless entry module. Remove this - 1 10mm bolt.
13) Find the dark green w/ black trace wire and cut it. Tape both ends and bolt the keyless entry module back where it came from.
14) On the security system module (located on the drivers side of the parking brake) find the gray wire and cut that, taping both ends.
15) You are all set. Put everything back together and have fun.

whoa, sounds good...

that is a bit scary, but if you say so... will that disable some of the functions of the alarm that keep people from stealing my little baby? like if they break the window, could they still start it up and drive away now because I disabled that... thanks

I had the same question also. But if you look at the timer's install manual, there's a wire connected to the hand brake. Thus if the hand brake is released, the timer knows and will shut down the engine immediately (unless the key stays in the ON position).

The sensor voltage flutuates a lot when the exhaust temperature is not stable(ie. the engine is not warmed up yet). The TT will not interpret the signal and will just show ----
