accessport, utec or vishnu reflash?
what are the pros/cons of these three? most likely i will go with accessport, but i like to hear ur opinions anyway. byt, is there anybody running EXED? seems working pretty good on their evo.
Just my personal opinion, but if you have the option at all (as in within 250 miles of you) get a custom tune by a shop. ECUTEK, Vishnu, whatever the software, nothing beats the gains you will get by an actual dyno tune.

I just wrote this to another thread:
The UTEC is a piggyback of sorts that causes the car to lie to the ECU and visa versa.. The nice part about it is that you can let the ECU be in control when you want it to (like during idle or low throttle). Its not going to give you the versatility of a TECH3 and its not going to give you the safe behavioral features of the stock ECU like an ECUTek flash will. But with time and patience you can add a lot of power to even an otherwise stock WRX and learn a lot about tuning. Its really a racing computer. It can work fine as a daily driver, but like I said, it doesn't have the one-the-fly computer controlled features of the stock ECU. Infact by its nature, it blocks them. It really is a what-you-tune-is-what-you-get setup. I.e. It won't alter timing for you automatically on cold days, etc., like a reflash. But if you want to learn, its the way to go.
If you don't want to learn, get an ECUTek reflash.
Honestly, after I am done with the UTEC and I feel like I know a lot, I just might sell my UTEC and get a reflash. But that's another great thing about the UTEC... if you wan't to get rid of it you actually have a solid, aftermarket part to sell, not just a stock ECU and a software license.

I would say get a custom dyno tune from Vishnu, I had them install their off the shelf map and then custom tune off it, it really worked out nice.

What about accessport.
Arent you simply reflashing your computer with that, except you can store up to 5 different maps on the device?
Also, when the Access tuner comes out it will allow you to custom tune as well as upload pre-made maps.
