Got mine yesterday. Not hard to install but I took some pics. I understand for some WRX owners not only the green diagnostic plugs under the dash need to be plugged together for the Base Map flash but there are a set in the passenger kick panel too (also green) that sometimes need to be hooked up too. This wasn't the case for the Forester.

for the WRX, you connect the 2 grren plugs in the drivers side kick panel area, as well as plugging in the init connector. also you don't have to remove any trim panels.
