APS

We have a few high-quality APS products available and ready to ship I'm really excited to be able to offer you so many of these fine parts at one time! Check out what we have and shoot me a PM or email if you want to pick something up, I'll get it on its way to you in no time!

3.5" Race Turboback Exhaust- $1395

Check out the 201 Motorsports blog for more installed pictures!
The worlds first bolt-on 3.5" Stainless Steel (304) turbo to tip race exhaust designed for 600+ horsepower. Minimal exhaust back pressure, fast turbocharger spool-up and maximum horsepower is guaranteed.

The APS DR Series 3.5" Turbo to Tip Race Exhaust is a true 3.5" internal diameter exhaust system through each and every section. By utilizing the latest technology precision mandrel bends with the smallest possible bend angles spread over the maximum possible length, optimum exhaust gas flow minimum exhaust back pressure is achieved.
TMIC & FMIC Blow Off Valves- $265

With its huge capacity the APS blow off valve gives you the ultimate in turbocharger durability and improved turbo response particularly during gear changes. A mammoth 1.375" (34 mm) internal bore size delivers huge capacity and at full piston travel, all ports are fully exposed for maximum blow off volume.

The APS twin vent BOV features 30 micron hard anodized, T6 billet aluminium body, low friction bronze piston, all stainless steel hardware including spring and Viton 'O' rings.

The large primary vent is designed to plumb back to the standard entry point which ensures the best driveability during cruise conditions and cures the problems seen with after market external single venting blow off valves. And for large turbochargers running high boost pressure levels, the APS twin vent blow off valve continues to vent through to the second stage port.

Fine adjustment to blow off valve operation can be performed through the actuation adjustment screw for optimum configuration.
DR525 Black Front Mount Intercooler- $1295

Professionally engineered performance for 350 - 525 horsepower applications utilizing 40 - 55 lb/min turbochargers.

The legendary APS front mount intercooler has quickly become the benchmark for all front mount intercooler systems for the Impreza WRX. Extremely high flow rates and massive temperature reduction - a level of performance that other manufacturers can only aspire to achieve.

APS has now upped the ante even further with the release of the D/R 525 front mount intercooler system, specifically designed for high horsepower Subaru WRX and STI engines.

Unlike other systems that require cutting of structural components at the front of the vehicle, APS has designed the D/R Series FMIC with a truly bolt-on replacement unit that not only maintains the structural integrity of the vehicle, but also forms the perfect mount to accommodate the largest FMIC available for a WRX and STI.
Cold Air Intake- $280

The APS smooth bore cast aluminium cold air intake system and air filter delivers a huge volume of cold air to the turbo charger for maximum engine performance.

This APS cold air intake system is certainly the most cost effective way to achieve greater air flow, great looks and fantastic sound for your sedan or wagon.

Unlike ram pods which source hot air from under the hood, the APS system breathes cool air from the inner guard for the optimum engine performance and durability. More importantly the air through the APS high flow air intake system is consistent in temperature. This means that the engine management unit's temperature compensation system operates correctly - unlike devices that source air from the highly turbulent areas under hood.

And, it's easy to install with no cutting or drilling required.
3" Turboback Exhaust- $1145

Exhaust system design parameters immediately after the turbocharger are critical not only for outright performance, but for optimum torque and turbo response. The optimum internal profiles cannot be achieved with twin pipe or bell mouth pipes. APS has engineered the High Flow Turbo Outlet housing for extreme gas flow and high exhaust gas temperatures which are normal in high performance turbocharged engines. Cast in high temperature ductile iron ensures optimum internal shape and maximum durability under high rpm, load and boost conditions.

The end result is an exhaust system that produces high outright power with stronger mid range torque than fabricated turbine outlet style exhausts. All this with improved turbo response (less lag) when running large turbochargers and maximum durability.
TSR-70 Twin Scroll Rotated Mount Turbo Kit- $3650 (1 IN STOCK!)

APS has designed and produced what is arguably the ultimate in bullet proof extreme flow Twin Scroll turbochargers for the Subaru Impreza enthusiast.

Unencumbered by the limitations of current off the shelf WRX turbochargers, APS has totally engineered a "no-compromise" turbocharger from the ground up to match the exact requirements of extreme performance Subaru Impreza engines.

APS has utilized extreme flow Ball Bearing Turbochargers, rotated to avoid the restrictive standard intake duct, in its race cars for many years. The twin scroll design of the APS TSR turbocharger permits separate exhaust gas pulses from each cylinder firing order pair to effectively drive the turbocharger's turbine with the maximum exhaust gas energy possible. This results in quicker turbocharger response and higher horsepower than an equivalent non-twin scroll design.

The APS TSR turbocharger incorporates innovative anti surge ports that effectively broaden the turbocharger compressor's operating range particularly near the surge line of the compressor map. At the surge point, compressed air is permitted to pass through the compressor wheel and into the anti-surge slot and ports, thus drastically reducing compressor surge. Unlike turbochargers designed to suit the stock position and orientation, APS TSR Series turbochargers are supplied as a comprehensive and complete bolt-on system.

To coincide with the release of the APS TSR70 turbocharger system, APS has designed the ultimate Twin Scroll up-pipe that delivers a double blast of separate exhaust gas pulses to the turbocharger. The true twin scroll design completely eliminates the mixing of exhaust gasses from each of the cylinder firing order pairs. This delivers a huge amount of energy (hence horsepower). In addition, the APS up-pipe included with the APS TSR 70 turbocharger system incorporates a remote wastegate connection. TiAL 44mm Wastegate Included.

A completely new APS High Flow Cold Air Intake system delivers a huge straight-shot of chilled fresh air directly into the wide compressor mouth of the APS TSR turbocharger. The APS cold air intake system accommodates stock style MAF metering through the MAF venturi supplied with the APS system. Best of all, for those Subaru horsepower enthusiasts who overwhelm the stock MAF meter at extreme horsepower levels, the MAF venturi is removable and markedly increases the cross sectional area at the MAF metering point. This now gives huge headroom for even greater air flow, larger fuel injectors, more effective air flow metering at high horsepower levels - and of course far greater tunability from the MAF meter.

Ultimately, a complete extreme horsepower turbocharger solution that leaves nothing to chance. Highly engineered and manufactured with great precision, this range of components from APS represents many years of research and development and is arguably the ultimate in high horsepower turbocharging for the Subaru WRX/STI.

The TSR70 Turbocharger System is a perfect partner for the APS Twin Scroll Header and precisely matches any of the APS High Output exhaust systems. The TSR 70 Turbocharger system connects directly to either the APS DR 725 or DR 525 front mount intercooler systems for complete ease of installation and maximum efficiency.

Why Twin Ball Bearing?

Demands for improving acceleration response and for the reduction of so-called turbo lag are popular amongst performance enthusiasts who wish to take advantage of the enormous gains in power and torque delivered by turbochargers. In addition, bullet-proof reliability is required particularly at high turbocharger boost pressure levels as well as at extreme exhaust gas temperatures commonly found in high performance turbocharged engines.

In order to achieve crisp turbocharger response, a number of advances in turbocharger design have been utilized over the past decade. Primarily through the use of modern metals/ceramics in order to reduce the mass of the rotating assembly. However, significant gains have been made by reducing the friction of the rotating assembly - and this has meant a departure from traditional turbocharger designs.

Traditional turbocharger design employs a conventional plain bearing that runs on a film of oil. This is known as a floating metal bush.

APS turbocharger rotating group above is a true twin ball bearing unit that not only delivers huge power and torque, but is also extremely robust and incredibly compact in size.
