WTF is up with these EVO *******s!?
Ok... apparently I gotta put on this zippo on my back and ignite the flamethrower cause I feel like I gotta rant and vent a bit here. I know this doesn't apply to all or majority of EVO owners/drivers, however, there's a selected few that I'm just disgusted and furious with that just ruin my pleasant, calm drive/cruise. I definately respect EVOs and most of their owners. At least the good, polite, nice owners.
So I own a WRX that's stock and by all means, not flashy at all. I'm driving here and there and sometimes encounter an EVO just like anyone else would. Now usually I look over, smile, and wave hi or give the thumbs up, and show respects to a well established car as well as props for a nice choice to the owner. Seems like no problem.
However, there are a few *******s now with EVOs where all they want to do is taunt me and race me! They rev their engines constantly despite me ignoring their challenge... or sometimes just take off at like mach 5 right by me and might I add, hella close and then cutting me off infront of me. For one thing, I'm on probation for exposition of speed... I've learned my lesson about street racing! I'm not that stupid to go after an EVO is another thing. That car got major power/bite! Why do I keep on getting picked on for!? I know there's a rivalry, but come on! I just want to be left alone and cruising 65 MPH or even less on the right lane at times jamming and enjoying my tunes out with the sun shining bright in the sky. Is that too much to ask for!?
Just the other night, there was a white EVO on 280. I saw it and I humbly gave the thumbs up. The car just blitz right by me expecting me to chase it... goes into my lane... slams his brakes... changes back to his original lane right of me.... lets me pass... (I'm like WTF was that for!?) changes back to my lane behind me... and proceeds to tailgate me for a couple of miles! I had to change lanes like 3 times before he wouldn't follow anymore! I totally ignored any eye contact cause I don't need another road rage incident.
I have a feeling this post by me is either going to get slapped on an EVO forum and I'm going to get roasted by them. OR! Someone jacks my quotes and mutilates them to something negative to ALL EVO owners. Either way, I'm not happy with and please don't!

I've only run across one EVO owner who is a complete tool. I haven't even met him, but every time he sees a Subaru (some of the other guys on here have seen him out in Rancho), he gives us all a thumbs down and a mean look. That guy is a dick - he drives one of the blueberry colored ones.
Otherwise, all the EVO drivers I've met are cool as hell, specially the guys that came out to a couple of the Sac meets. Real nice guys.
There's a lot more fanboys in the bay though, so maybe you're getting the ******* ones who upgraded from their civic and now think they're king of the road. Dunno.

Oh, I also wanted to add - it's not just EVO drivers. Every car brand or model has their share of dick heads in a sea of awesome and helpful enthusiasts.
There are a ton of dumb asses who own WRXs, I've seen them - we all have. So it's not just EVO guys. You should check out an EVO meet sometime, you'll meet some really cool guys.

Most of us realize that BOTH the WRX/STI and EVO are great cars that just a few years ago were not even available and we should feel privileged to own.
Any rivalry and difference of opinion should be settled on the track, not the street, IMO. (Right Mike??)

stop waving is the best thing to do whether or not its an evo or wrx. We are in war right now. Everyone is sensitive these days.

Damn, why cant I ever find any EVO's like that. The only time I see them is when they are going the opposite way. Better for them...I guess....lol

My guess is they must of ugraded their Civic/Integra rice mobile to either the EVO or STI and make it more rice....which gives the EVO & STI a bad name. Not to mention the WRX as well. Pretty sad if you ask me.... I remember going home from snowboarding with my co-workers and this idiot with a riced up WRX starts to REV on me in traffic @ fairfield...WTF
