F'd in the A by 1-800flowers
i ordered some flowers for teh wifey for valentines day. i paid for the extra "guaranteed feb 14th delivery" just to be safe. turns out that means they ship the stuff direct via fed ex. not delivered by a florist, but flowers wrapped in plastic and a vase packed in bubble wrap. how special. to make matters worse, they delivered like 5 minutes before she left for the day.
we all know the point of sending isht to women at work is so they can show off to all their little buddies at work and brag about how well they're treated, and I for one am pissed that the company handled their deliveries this way. a couple of my co-workers got shafted by the same deal. one guys wife didn't even get her flowers today.

oh god that sucks, i bet it felt special getting flowers in a frickin box.

When you order online, they tell you quite specifically if your products will be delivered FedEx or by a local florist (some items aren't available at your local florist). I got my wife a dozen roses from 1-800 flowers, confirmed they were being delivered by a local florist, and she got them without issue this morning.
I learned this the hard way last year when the bear and plant I wanted to get her could not be delivered on the 14th because it fell on a holiday.
