Angry Attn: Double Helix...your friend Brett is a fraud!!

Your friend "Brett" who lives at 901 Sara Court, Apt. 163 in Vacaville, CA, whose home phone number is 707-628-4462, and whose cell phone number is 707-449-1918 IS A CHEAT AND A FRAUD!! BTW: For mods, this person is NOT a member on this or supposedly any other Subaru board, so I'm not violating a members' privacy.

He is the one who sold us a VF39 from his "stock" STi (which got totalled), and is now driving a Mitsu EVO. We looked at the turbo in general, but told him we weren't experts on what we're looking for. He told us this was fine, and that if we had any issues with the turbo, please give him a call.

I started giving him a call on Saturday afternoon, when we finally found a thread on the other board in which a pic was posted of the infamous...crack. This turbo housing has the same exact crack, in the same exact location. As a matter of fact, this could be the turbo in the picture...

...I've been stupid enough to call him with my caller ID being sent. Each time, I'd simply reach his voicemail. Interesting that I left him a message, simply saying I'd like to discuss this, and never hear back from him. I started getting suspicious...

...Today, on my way home, I turned off my caller ID sending feature, and he picked up the phone!! Amazing how that happens. As soon as he heard who it was...I'm the guy you sold the turbo to... <click> was the sound I heard at the other end of the line. I simply wanted to talk with this guy. Nothing insulting, no demanding my money back, I wanted to work out a solution which would be beneficial to us, without costing the guy a lot of $$.

He refuses to listen or talk to me...

BTW, if YOU can reach him, you might ask him why he won't talk to me. Is it because he knew he was selling a faulty turbo? Or is it that he's spent the money, and doesn't have it to refund? Is it because he's an a$$hole?

I was simply going to suggest that we send the turbo to Deadbolt, see if it's repairable, and split the costs. Either that, or find another exhaust housing (if one exists) that will work, and then split the cost on that. I'm not an unreasonable person, and working to find a good solution is what I do for a living.

oh wahhhh

why would you bring this to a public forum, this is between you and the guy who sold it, not the public. how does it have anything to do with "Double Helix." why would you bring him into this. I don't understand why its needed to be brought to everyone's attention, when you got screwed. this has nothing to do with anyone here... if you needed to get a hold of him through a third party "double helix" why would not just send him a private message.

oh, one last thing

this thread is retarded

Because he is supposedly a "friend" of his, and I usually do business with people I either know, or people who can vouch for the person. In listing this item for sale, Double Helix became the person who vouched for this guy. Why did Double Helix post this for sale on a public forum if he didn't want anything to do with it?

That's how Double Helix is involved.

I figured he might want to know what kind of friend he has, so that he can make an informed choice whether or not to associate with this kind of person, and thereby be associated with the scamming of other members...

lol

i would think that he would know what kind of a friend he has... you know... from actually knowing him...

still doesn't answer the question of why you wouldn't want to just private message him.

basically, what you are doing would be like me comin on this board, and saying that you are a horrible person for cheating on your wife with another women who was cheating on her husband.... just to show the PUBLIC who they might have to deal with at the marin subaru parts department...

oops, did i just say that?

That shows how intelligent you are...not very.

#1. I'm not cheating on my wife, I'm divorced.
#2. Pleiad7 is not cheating on her husband...she's divorced.

In addition to that, my personal relationships aren't part of this.

If you had business dealings with me at the Parts Dept. of Marin Subaru, and I sold you the wrong part, wouldn't take it back, wouldn't refund your money, and just treated you like s***, then I'd fully EXPECT to see you posting it up on the public forum. I would not be at all shocked to see you do this. But it's obvious you aren't intelligent enough to get the point.

all im saying is that its pretty stupid to bring this to the public when it has NOTHING to do with anyone. i wouldn't bring the entire bay area into an issue of me not getting back a part from someone...

Where did I say it was "cool"? I'm just making sure that anyone who reads this can make an informed decision whether or not to do business with someone like this. It makes it easier to identify this person, so that there is no mistake.

Showing up on his doorstep? He lives in a gated community...and while the gate would be of no concern, I'm not sure that the two hour drive each way would be worth it.

BTW, you're not one to talk. Just look at your a$$hattery on slamming someone who you have NEVER had business dealings with? Did that make YOU "cool"??
