IMHO, you should have noticed uneven wear especially when it's the outer part of the tire. I do tire checks (since those are the main things that keep you alive) atleast every week, even if I just glance at it to look at tread and air pressure.
Camber doesn't do that much to wear it's more of toe angle. Understeering a Subaru can also kill the outer side of a tire, which I learned when I started to auto-x. You definately don't need to slide your car to wear only the outsides of your tires.
Since your car is lowered, was it a DIY job? Maybe your bolts that connect the brakes to your shock are loose (since you can very slightly adjust camber with those bolts) and could have moved around. They are supposed to be pretty tight, as I broke a socket trying to break the torque on those.
Most shops, have either a mileage warranty, or a time period warranty on alignments (such as wheel works' 1 year or Big-O's 6 month). Since you're going to need to get an alignment soon anyway, I'd bring it to AI, get the alignment, see how off the toe angle is (since I'm sure that's the problem if what you're saying is true) and show your shop how badly it was done. Although, it has been 6 months since you got that last alignment, the mileage should be on the previous' alignment paperwork, and tell them what a crappy job they did if the alignment went out in less than 5k miles.
