installed on their suby's, just wanted opinions because i was planning on getting the exedy sport clutch(organic)/flywheel combo(14.3lbs)....

i might have to hold the idea of getting RA GEARS for now, because i can't afford to spend that much money right now...

I

have had aftermarket clutch and lightweight flywheel for about three years. You have to live in the higher rpms more, which with a loud exhaust kinda sucks. But the top end is nice. Like anything else, it's a compromise.

Putting in gear is ultra expensive, so I heard.
They have to disassemble the transmission in some specific order then repeat it in reverse order when putting it back together. To cut to the chase, its suppose to be ultra expensive in terms of labor.

I have an Exedy Sport Clutch and l/w flywheel (13.9lbs) and the downshifts are wicked, revs are much quicker, but the CELs suck. I have learned that if I don't let my car idle too long when it's cold I don't get a CEL, but like clockwork if I let my car idle on a dead cold start for 5 minutes or more, I get a misfire CEL on cyl 4 (sometimes 2) ever since the flywheel/clutch install. '01 RS tho, not a WRX.

I have The Exedy Twin Plate, with their Flywheel also.... I ****ing love it, the clutch pedal actually is BARELY stiffer then stock, but the engagement point is ALOT smaller then stock, it doesn't really like to be slipped very much, and i just recently found out of you hot lap the car at the track it will start to slip LOLLLL so will almost every clutc thhough :P, Drove the car around the block and the clutch felt brand new again!!! I guess it better be good for the price of the ****ing thing... lol

In my opinion the clutch is werth it...

I had an STI clutch and lightened flywheel put in my 02.

And it immediately began throwing random false mis-fire codes.

I changed both back to stock back when my motor burned a valve (so maybe some of them weren't false...) but now no more mis-fire CELs.
