Whats up with this??

Who says you cant get into first going fast??
We'll the other day i'm in 2nd going 40mph i shift up to 3 and it wont go in.... i try again no luck... then the 3rd try it goes in but not in 3rd but in 1ST!!!!!!! Scary stuff but nothing went boom i caught it in time, put the clutch in real quick.
Any thoughts?

If you were able to put it in 1st from that speed then there is something wrong with your tranny dude. Thats not normal. I am surprised the motor didn't blow. You are one luck guy. hehe

well, you could get into any gear if you push hard enoug. but seriously. was that a 'pop' in? or a 'slip' in?

it just slipped in. I didnt force a thing. Someone told me that Feb or march 03 is when subaru will have a good replacement for the tranies that go boom. Hopefully mine will last that long!!
