I would think it's more than half, seeing as half of all car theives probably can't drive stick . . .

edit: yeah, when I'm in heavy traffic I usually just idle first and it's all good

On the other side of the traffic argument: i hate having to hold the brakes in the damn auto, i'd rather just leave it neut for the half an hour that i'm sitting still on flat ground.

isnt the WRC impreza a semi auto transmission, im pretty sure it has an electronic clutch with paddles or what not for the shifter...

It's a sequential manual gearbox, which means it's a traditional manual with some servos to do the shifting. It's not an automatic with a button to tell the computer to shift.

i have driven the new legacy gt with the sportshift and i must say that it is better than just an automatic. but..... it still sucks. manual is still 100 times better. the sportshift while you can control the rpms is still really slow on the shifting. my foot hand combo is so much faster with a manual that that slushbox sportshift. i was kind of disappointed when i drove it. not to mention i kept trying to push in a clutch and it wasn't there
