get RED LINE MT90 works awsome you'll notice a difference as soon as you leave your drive way. i use it best stuff i've ever tried. Thomas

Anyone got a picture as to where you pour the MT oil? I see the dipstick... Maybe I didn't look hard enough, lol.

And did any of you use this in your front or rear diffs??

u just fill your tranny oil from where the dipstick is. i just change my tranny oil with motul and i use redline for rear diff

Has anyone tried the rediline shock proof superlight stuff?

It gets a recommendation on cobb's site.

from what i have read ppl that use redline shock proof, they all got pretty good result from it.

some ppl just use 1qt of shock proof with redline 79W90NS and they got good result too.

Definitely use GL5 fluid- this means no MT90. Redline will tell you the same thing. As for the diff, if it's an auto, it's open. I think 5MT's from '01 had the LSD, but I'm not sure. Your owners manual can tell you. If it is, it's viscous, so the modifiers are for it.

what is GL5?.. i know thats what it says in the manual but its kinda hard to understand. what viscosity should you use for the 2002+ wrx?

GL5 has to do with lab tests they use to grade fluids out. It's like saying DOT 3 brake fluid, or Dexron III power steering fluid. It's not directly related to viscosity.

I'm running Motul Gear 300 in my tranny. I was told to stay away from Redline because it's too thin.

I thought Prodrive used Motul in all their race cars. Motul is one of their sponsers.
