Need help with tranny

Does any one have experience rebuilding trannys? I need some advice.

How much weight needs to be applied to the bearing on the front axel when putting the tranny back together, to get uniform pressure? I know there is a tool that is used to apply the right amount of weight, I just don't have the money to buy it or to pay a tranny shop to put it together for me.
