Question Help with: Tranny Temp Gauge Install

I recently got an autometer cobalt tranny temp gauge and need to know how to install it. where do i tap in?

4eat owners please help a brother out!

This is a copy of a post from the old i-club, you can also check out projectwrx.com, he puts the sender right before the tranny oil goes into the radiator (its a ****ty/non existant writeup though)

Turns out there's a "test plug" right next to the transmission filter. Subaru uses it for testing line pressure, but no reason it can't measure temperature as well.

So, I plugged in my "thermocouple" probe in place of the test plug. Works fine. Here's a pic for future reference:



Now to the track to see how brake-stalls effect tranny temp.
