HELLLLPPPPP!!!!!!! 93 impreza

hello, i just wanted to ask a question about how difficult it will be to switch from an automatic to manual transmission in a 93 impreza(1.8L)? i want to get this car but it has something that i'm not really fond of. it's automatic. so before i get the car i want to know if anybody has done such a swap and if it'll be a ***** to do or not. plus i plan on turboing it in the summer but i don't want to turbo an automatic so please let me know what you think and how i should go about this. thanks.

Unless you're getting this car for free or very close, it's not worth planning to do a swap. If you really want a 5 speed, just wait for an Impreza that has one.

I'll second that. I'm doing a swap, but on a newer car that I'm more attached to and have more $$ already invested in. It's not worth swapping out on a car like what you're talking about, as the parts + labo would cost more than the car. 5spds shouldn't be that uncommon....
