GM and Pennzoil Synchromesh-be aware
#17
simple - in my years of new car ownership, one things rings true: the dealer, not the manufacturer or their distributor (as is the case with Subaru) makes or breaks the ownership experience.
I have always modded my cars and always been up front with the service advisors regarding the mods - never trying to hide anything. I hvae been treated awfully (Audi - had an S4 that was lightly modded, told the dealer about it, they agreed to still handle some unrelated warranty work, and called me end of the day to say "we cannot work on it because it's modded" - HUH?
Other end of the spectrum was my Subaru - '99 RS that I bought new, did TONS of work, including a turbo 2.5, and was one of the first in the US to do a genuine STi 5 speed swap and STi (2.0 liter v4 RA) motor swap - I was never denied warranty work a single time, even when the parts being warrantied were not even offered in the US.
